Hear Us Out 5 was mentioned in Taylors' Newsletter!
"For World Issues students in the Canadian Pre-University Programme (CPU), their student project was to organise a conference. Not just any ordinary conference involving teachers and students, but a full-fledged conference with participating non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and keynote speakers coming from all over the nation.
Organised for the fifth consecutive semester, the Hear Us Out 5 Global Issues Conference was based loosely on the theme of interconnectivity. It was an intense hands-on experience with minimal but crucial guidance from World Issues lecturer Mr Colin Boyd Shafer. 19 students from the two classes got into committees to handle conference matters, namely contacts, advertising, fundraising, media and ticket sales. Apart from the duties in the committees, students also had to conduct a 40-minute workshop in pairs regarding issues of their concern."
